Josephine Lai accepts a limited number of commissions each year for collectors, interior designers, and institutions who wish to acquire unique ceramic works tailored to their vision. Each piece is created with the same care and artistry that defines her studio practice, ensuring that every commission is a true work of fine art.

Past commissioned work (clockwise from left): Commissioned vase; Snowy owl vase; Ferruginous pygmy owl bowl; Rattlesnake.

Commission Guidelines
  • Minimum Investment: Commissions begin at $250. Larger and more complex projects will be quoted individually.

  • Artistic Integrity: All commissioned works are original, hand-made ceramics. While Josephine welcomes inspiration and discussion, the final design will reflect her style and interpretation.

  • Timeline: Completion time depends on the scope of the project and kiln schedule. Most pieces require 6–12 weeks from agreement to delivery.
